There's a company that sells a lot of aloe vera products. They have capsules of "cold processed" aloe vera as well as liquid aloe vera and, although the standard disclaimer is clearly stated ( "this product is not intended to diagnose or cure any disease"), there seems to be a lot of people who are taking this internally for arthritis and other joint conditions. The company has been in business for at least 10 years.
1. Anyone ever try taking aloe vera internally for a significant length of time (over 2 months?) Has it helped you?

My husband took the liquid aloe vera for ulcers
and it cured them.
It came by the half gallon plastic bottle
and tasted kind of like weak lemonade.

I imagine it (with all it's healing powers)
would get rid of a lot of stuff.
Anyway it sure couldn't hurt ya!

All those arthritis drugs have worse
side effects than the arthritis!!

If you have osteo-arthritis, it would be best to take a combination of glucosaminesulphate and chondroitin sulphate which is available OTC in any medical stores. These 2 chemicals supplement the regeneration of the lost and worn out cartilage of the bones thus movement is made more free with less pain.

Aloe Vera has been recognised for centuries for its remarkable health-enhancing properties. Although known specifically for external application to the skin, Aloe Juice is now widely used to help a variety of conditions of the digestive tract.

Aloe Vera has natural healing and detoxifying powers and works gently within the intestinal tract to help break down impacted food residues and thoroughly cleanse the bowel. It can help ease constipation and prevent continuing diarrhoea, setting a regularity to the bowel. All this helps to reduce discomfort and bloating. Naturally, as these symptoms are eased, so the stress associated with the discomfort is also reduced.

Aloe Vera is a stimulant to the immune system, a powerful anti- inflammatory, an analgesic and is able to speed up cell growth. Aloe Vera contains a large number of mucopolysaccharides (basic sugars) which are found in every cell in the body. Aloe also contains large numbers of nutrients including vitamins E, C, B1, 2, 3, and 6 as well as iron, manganese, calcium and zinc. Seven essential amino acids and fatty acids are also found in Aloe Vera.

Repairing damaged tissue by regenerating cells is a function at which Aloe Vera has been shown to be most successful. It not only relieves the painful symptoms but also helps to disperse damaged tissue – a type of detoxification process. Aloe Vera may be taken both internally as a juice or as a gel applied to the painful joint. Here Aloe Vera’s deep penetration may show benefit.

In any event, an important fact must be remembered: Aloe Vera has no known adverse side effects. It is an extract from the leaf of the Aloe Vera plant, known throughout the world where it grows naturally as the ‘First Aid Plant’, the ‘Burn Plant’, the ‘Miracle Plant’ and the ‘Medicine Plant’.

There is a large body of published data suggesting this is a possible benefit of aloe, if the aloe you are using actually contains bioactive ingredients.

In the 1950s, Los Alamos National Labs did some tests with Aloe and found that it could cause the healing of beta radiation burns, but less than 24 hours after harvesting the gel from the leaf, it had no effect.

Decades later it was discovered this was because an enzyme was consuming the Mannose sugar that is considered to be the source of these effects.

Aloe Vera is detoxifying, yet for heavy metals, no longer marijuana. Cranberry juice is detoxifying as properly, for the kidneys and the urinary tract, in spite of the shown fact that it won't get the pot out of your device any quicker than different drinks. the only element that extremely works is to drink as many fluids as you could. Water, water, and greater water. the article is to extend your urinary output and hence flush out the device, so mildly diuretic drinks (like espresso and tea) are stable as properly. And take a b complicated- if your urine is merely too sparkling, in specific situations they get suspicious. B supplements will upload slightly shade back to it.

That is a new one to me. Aloe is mostly used as a topical for its healing properties. It is usually not advised to take it orally due to its laxative effects unless one is constipated. Otherwise it has no healing properties by consuming it that I know of.
