honors geometry?

I'm so freaked out to take honors geometery, is it hard?

Honors geometry is different then the other forms of math you have taken, because it deals with shapes instead of just numbers. Many girls/women have a harder time dealing with shapes than boys/men. It's nothing that can't be overcome.

The hardest thing to do is to learn to solve proofs, because the laws of geometry do not feel natural to you. If I told you that 2 + 5 = 5 + 2, your reaction would likely be "Duh!" But when you were a little kid, you had to learn that. If I tell you that SSS and SAS and ASA can be used to prove equivalency in triangles, you will probably say "Huh?"

So practice your proofs a lot and write out the laws until you remember them. Other girls/women have gotten A's in honors geometry. You can, too. Rumor has it that some girls even understand calculus! :)

Personally, I think that honors geometry is not any harder than honors algebra 1. Geometry is easier than algebra in the sense that it requires less calculations and problems are generally shorter. However, I agree with the other people. It emphasizes more reasoning. It's a pretty exciting class, and I don't think it's any harder than algebra.

I took honors geometry. If it is hard or not depends on you. I would personally take it first and if it is too hard just go back to regular math classes. It is always easier to move down than to move up.

You will find geometry is quite different than other math you have taken, so don't let your prior experiences influence your feelings.

Geometryis more involved with logical thinking and proof than prior math classes. Perhaps you will find yourself better at this than boys are.

i did nicely in algebra and took honors geometry...i did ok. (surpassed with an 89) yet geometry is lots diverse then algebra. countless people do nicely in geometry yet not lots in algebra and vice versa. i might nevertheless circulate with honors for a project. for the attempt, idk, you will desire to renowned lots approximately shapes....
