Well, Lacey Mosley from Flyleaf has been through a lot and when I read her story, I was touched. I learned that people can actually change for the better without becoming completely different people. They can learn from their mistakes and move on from their past. It also showed me that I should be more compassionate to those less fortunate. I guess it sort of changed my life in a way.

Rock music changed my life.
I used to listen to radio and the new tunes. The early shows, the late shows - I knew radio best - I couldn't afford to buy records. I didn't have a player. The top thirty shows played some neat music - I knew the lists as well as anyone...even knowing the playersi n the bands, the albums that the singles were taken from etc, etc. It took on its own form - but still, I listened to the radio for new musics - it was fun and informative. Nowadays its a turn around - I listen very little - they stuff they play today is not actually melodic it has more of a sting in its tail and the abuse of language is not what I want to hear! Rock or Pop its all the same - you get joked on either way. Funny folk those makers...

The ramones changed my life. I grew up in a really great era with alot of punk influenced bands. I was lucky enough to experience DOA, deathsentence, Black Flag, SNFU, COC, skinny puppy, Husker du, the scramblers, new york dolls, and I know this completely changed how I see life. I am so glad I did not get sucked into the whole 80's scene with duran duran and flock of seagulls.

Music from kids movies mostly. Bryan Adams from the movie "Spirit, stallion of the Cimarron", Goo Goo Dolls from the movie "Treasure Planet", Phil Collins from the movie "Tarzan". Lots of others. I have kids and I cannot listen to the radio all week because it is not allowed at work for the past ten years. These movies have a lot of meaningful, emotionally charged tunes in them, so don't laugh until you have listened. I also love Queen from the movie "Highlander".

The band Red Hot Chili Peppers has changed my life in little ways, but still have an incredibly respect and love for them. I wouldn't go into emotional details, but their crazy lyrics and songs kinda lifted me up when other things couldn't...

The Smiths, Siouxsie, Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance, back in the 80's when I was in high school. I can't think of anything else in my life that has had such an effect on who I am.

Alternative. The bands in that genre are the best. Music means everything to me, it's my life. It affects how I dress, and who I hang out with.

Bright Eyes. They changed me for the better, and that's a good thing. I used to be so sad about life, but now I think differently on stuff.
