Hi! I am a makeup artist for Dior and if you feel comfortable, I would suggest going to a makeup counter and ask for a makeover. I would go to a counter that is very picky in the girls that they hire. (Chanel, Mac, Trish McAvoy ect..) Usually a high end department store is best. ( Saks, Neiman's) I had a cross dresser as a client and at first he came in like a hour before we closed. We tried many different looks until he found what he was comfortable with. I then taught him the proper techniques to apply his products. Now he happily comes in all the time!!! I hope this helps! Good luck!

well you could go for a makeup lesson at a salon but being that you are man they may find that a little strange. I suggest you make an appoint at a M*A*C makeup counter. They are usually in Macy's. makeup is about having fun so you can go as crazy or as neutral as you want. Check out M*A*C's website too, they usually show you how to apply makeup too. Good luck have fun!

The easiest makeups to apply are powders, such as pressed powder foundation, powder eyeshadow, and blush. With those, along with some mascara and lip gloss, you can easily get a great look. If you want eyeliner, pencils are easiest to use.

If you can do it, the best way to experiment with makeup is to buy cheap drugstore stuff. because you don't want to spend $$$ on makeup before you know what kinds you want to wear. Also, women's magazines always have great articles on wearing makeup, and in my opinion Allure is the best because it doesn't have Cosmo b.s. like "52 ways to tell if he loves you."

Well, I'm not sure about men's skin texture and what make up works best.
I would say just play around with it until it looks/feels right to suit what you want.
Magazines like Glamour, Cosmo, etc always have make up tips.
