She doesn't fit the "part". Nor does "Meredith Vierra" fit the "Today" show.
Nor did "Lisa Mc Cree" fit "Good Morning America"
It seems like the so-called "intelligent" producers or directors who chose them, aren't doing their job "right".

You're right -- she's just not right for the part she's playing on the Evening News. I read an article about her some years ago that kind of turned me off to her; I guess I became jaded since it indicated she has a HUGE ego. Frankly, I've never thought she was anything special and couldn't see why she was singled out as a star in her field. You seemed to find her interviewing style good in the past -- I always thought she had kind of a smug, mocking kind of grin (I think it's her mouth!) Like that spoiled, annoying, cutesie cheerleader in high school. Anyway, I get it...Did you happen to notice that there has been a problem with finding just the right female to fill that 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm slot on the major network news? What female would make a good 'after the news' news anchor -- that magical 6:30-7 pm trophy spot?
Maybe Diane Sawyer? How about Leslie Stahl? C'mon out there -- I know there's someone who could make it work! It just can't be true that only a MAN can deliver in that slot?!?!?!

Yep. I think you're the ONLY one who can't stand Katie Couric on the CBS Evening News. No one else cares.
She's just someone who reads to us while we take it all in like the naive, gullible people we are; today's conservative-biased media is nothing more than a propaganda machine for the U.S. Government, 'reading' press releases verbatim without skepticism, questions, or investigation. It's more profitable for the media moguls, and it's certainly better for the government. Just like Hitler's propagandists convinced many otherwise intelligent Germans it was acceptable to gas Jews, the conservative-biased media will eventually persuade otherwise intelligent people it's acceptable to insult, injure, or even kill liberals or any others who don't subscribe to their conservative points of view. -RKO- 07/21/07

And I went to ABC with Charlie Gibson. I thought she was a kind of cute little thing on the Today show, but I just cant buy her on the evening news. I'm female and I'm all for women taking their place with the men in network tv, but Katie does not belong in the news department at CBS.

Yahoo sure likes her... gives her a spot as a "reporter" and lets her spew her ignorance about life to the world. Yesterday, we got an article about how glad Chelsea Clinton is to be a mom.. Let me be the first to say.. so fking what!!!
I cant stand Couric either, and her material is yesterday's wastebin material...

She is now and always has been a left wing liberal tree hugging democrat. She can not or will not report the news without putting her personal liberal democratic spin on that story. I can't stand her and I refuse to watch her!

She's a leftwing whore and I can't stand her clogging up the yahoo scroll with her stupid leftwing slant on everything. And you can't comment on her stupid stories.

I feel that same way. I stopped watching her altogether now. Its really too bad that she gave up Today because that was a better job for her (personality wise).
