I use dell inspiron laptop. It was reformatted & I couldn't get the local area network running. How can I ?

It came with windows xp home and for some reason it was reformatted and xp professional use. I can no longer go on either local or wide area network and the media doesn't seem to work any more. Please how can I get these problems resolved ?

Install the drivers.
After an OS installation, main drivers should be installed immediately. These are the mainboard chipset drivers and those for onboard devices like LAN, VGA, Sound, etc. These drivers are usually in one CD that comes w/ the laptop. It is separate from the Win XP CD.
Worked flawlessly for me on my laptops and desktops.
