Some crimes are so severly abhorent that the only remedy is Capital Punishment. Some examples of those criminals most deserving of this penalty are:
Terrorists
Murderers
Communists
Pedophiles
Rapists
Also, it is lawful and just to defend the life of yourself or others with deadly force when threatened with deadly force.
Lastly, the military personnel who serve the nation are righteous and just when engaging the enemy in battle

When that other human being has made the choice to hurt other human beings for what ever reason with for thought and knowledge. His rights end the moment he endangers another human beings life. At that point he needs to be executed in some fashion so that he can no longer hurt another human being.

I don't believe it is justified. I believe if someone deserves a punishment such as death, chances are by then they are wanting.
I have heard that a lifetime of SOLITARY confinement is a fate much worse than death. You drive yourself mad through your own mind.
By killing a person as a punishment for them doing the same, you are only sinking to their level.
I dont believe war is right. I believe that you should be able to work things out without sacrificing the lives of innocent people. Every person values their life as much as you value your own. Why take something that special away from them.

A murderer is about to take the life of another. He is not defending himself, he is not in need to to survive.
At that point, it is justified to kill him.
The same on a larger national scale.

1. In war, like against terrorists to defend your way of life
2. When you are going to die or get severely hurt if you do not defend yourself.
3. To defend the life or safety of someone who cannot defend themselves. For example, if someone is beating on someone badly and you cannot intercede and physically stop them.
4. Protecting our borders.
5. Death penalty life for life: killing a cop, intentional murder, etc.
If you look at the person called "the way". This is exactly what is wrong with pacifists. You cannot stop someone who is trying to kill someone. Life does not work that way.
