I am from NYC

What people seem to forget is the Giuliani was not a popular mayor leading up to 9/11. He was popular very early in his term because people liked his tough stance on crime. People quickly realized that his negotiating skills were non existent. He was a "my way or the highway" kind of guy. When 9/11 happened, he was in his element again. However, people tend to rally around their leadership in times like those. He did a good job running things in the 1-2 months following 9/11 but there was nothing extraordinary that he did other than keep a positive spin on things.

Funny how he is showing his flip-flop views now. As a leader of a very liberal city, he was pro-choice, open to affirmative action. He really was quite liberal in his views. Now he has filp flopped his views to be in line with the base he needs to get elected. i have a problem with that. You don't change your views to get elected. You get elected because of your views.
It would be a very bad thing for this country if he were to get elected.
