We only ask questions for the chance to gage knowledge.
We agree with answer questions like this for two points!!!
**** Sorry, in the absence of knowledge, try to be witty without detracting from the points which may be gained by others and use "self deprecation! ****
Hell, what time is it? I'm still waiting for Godot.

While I do not necessarily agree with all aspects of this quote, I appreciate its linguistic delineation. When I look at it as a strictly individual notion, I agree. When I see it as a collective notion, it becomes fascist.
I cannot think of any quotes at the moment which express the same idea.
When we seek to dominate, we become a slave to the desire to do so, thereby fettering ourselves to a lust for power.
It is amazing how much power one can possess over ones self when one realizes that there is no need for power over others, as long as others possess the same self control. That is unfortunately a notion that consistently proves to be highly unlikely.

Hmmmm ok these are a stretch but,
Freedom isn't free?
We fear what we do not understand (as the other guy said)
Seeing is believing? Faith is the opposite of fear?
Doubt is terminal? Don't judge a man till you've walked a mile in his shoes?
A freeman who is ignorant isn't free, a slave who is wise is always free?
They all apply somewhat, interesting poem.
Good Luck and God Bless

via David Hume (1711 - 1776): "attractiveness isn't any high quality in issues themselves: it exists only interior the innovations which contemplates them." "concept isn't something yet a extra shiny, energetic, forcible, business enterprise, stable concept of an merchandise, than what the mind's eye on my own is ever waiting to attain." From "Critique of organic reason," via Immanuel Kant (1724 - 1804): "products are given to us via ability of sensibility, and it on my own yields us intuitions; they are thought in the process the understanding, and from the understanding upward thrust up innovations." "yet all thought could desire to, quickly or in a roundabout way, via way of particular characters relate finally to intuitions, and hence, with us, to sensibility, because of the fact in no incorrect way can an merchandise acquire to us." "the real correlate of sensibility, the factor in itself, isn't widespread, and could't be widespread, via those representations; and in adventure no question is ever asked in regard to it."
