I'm the only child, so I WAS but now I have my own job, and I spoil myself.

No. I'm also an only child. But my parents did not want me to become the cliche "spoiled only child". So I was raised to be very self-sufficient, independent, and taught that I would not be handed everything I want just for the asking. In fact I often had somewhat less than other kids. But they did give me a lot of attention. Which not every kid can claim.
I'm not spoiled. I do indulge myself once in awhile if I really want something. But, usually it's travel. I'm not a label monger, and I believe space and time are a luxury, so I don't have a lot of material goods compared to other people. Also if I don't want to dust it, wash it, or will only use it a few times per year... then I don't want "it"!

I am the only child too; but even though that I am on my own my parents still spoil the hell out of me.

I have 4 sisters so I'm not spoiled by my parents but my husband has spoiled be something awful, over 20 years and he's never told me no.

Yea I am, and I'm the middle child. My parents spoil all of us equally, tho. Christmas time is crazy and messy. LOL But in the meantime, I have a job now.
