The best thing to do right now is try out for american idol. It is the cheapest way to become famious quick. Otherwise you can record your songs and send it to an agency but it will most likely have to be copy writted before they will listen to it which all this gets expensive and quick and doesnt work most of the times or just be singing at local popular joints and be at the right place at the right time

You need to get exposure. At this stage, virtually any exposure is good. Even consider singing in a choir, or at a Karakoke Bar--the objective is to get yourself comfortable with performing in public and to get something of a resume going as well. Is there a baseball or football team in your area that might want someone to sing the National Anthem? Maybe you could do that--that is guaranteed exposure. However, be absolutely sure that you know the words to it and have your voice trained to handle the difficult transitions in it. If there are any charitable events--any at all--like entertaining wounded veterans in military hospitals, or entertaining elderly people in hospitals--volunteer and do a good job, do as good a job as you possibly can at all times. Smile, be friendly, be gracious--leave as positive an impression and memory as you possibly can. You have no idea who might be listening. Even when it comes to wounded veterans or elderly people, people take note, they will remember that nice person who went out of their way to be kind and gracious to someone and it may end up being not only the right thing to do, a very good thing to do in itself, but as well opening a door to the next level of your singing career. By all means, do demo tapes and circulate them. If your act begins to catch on get a good agent and as politely but fimly as possible, insist that they get you bookings. Anyway, good luck!!!!

If you really want to be famous believe that you will be and follow your intuition and it will lead you in the right direction, whatever that is

Make a demo and send it to as many record labels that you can think of. Make accounts on buzznet.com , purevolume.com , mp3.com and put your music on it.
