okay so im 14 [well 14 this august] going into hs. fun!
anyways, its about birthday time and i think i want to ask my grandparents for bare minerals
i want to try it because it looks simple enough, and i'm really used to putting on like a 48957985715 pounds of makeup a day.
i have an occasional pimple, but im not like borken out everyday or anything.
i have normal skin, and im not allergic to anything.

think it'll work?
i don't want other options please, just tell me if you have bare minerals, if you love it, if you hate it, would you recommend it to me, ect =]

thanks ladies <3

Never tried Raw Minerals, but I have tried a lot of other mineral make-up and Bare Minerals gets 5 stars with me. Awesome coverage and it does not look fake.

I'm 25 and have been using BM for years and I totally love it. It can get a bit expensive, but it lasts a long time. The regular size of the foundations cost around $25. To find out what colors really work for you go to someplace like Sephora and ask them for help with it. They'll make sure you pick the right colors for foundation. It would be good to start with their start-up kits because it comes with the brushes and costs about $60. I've also tried Sheer Cover, but I didn't care for it as much.

I would reccomend SheerCover. It's only 29.95 and it comes with way more stuff than B.M. does. The set includes: a DVD, how to booklet, 2 powders, bronzer sample, 2 tone concealors, mascara, 3 professional brushes, a lipgloss & cream eyliner compact, a cleanser and moisturizer, and a travel brush that you can store you're powder in (the one you shake and it goes into the brush). I'm gonna get it, it's definately worth a try. Plus, it says that if you aren't satisfied, that you can send it back for free and then they will return your money (even if the containers are empty, but I doubt they are that nice! lol) Hope that helps!!

I think 14 is too young to mess with a full face of makeup, but I have my OWN kids to nag, so....

Bare Minerals works really well if you do it right. You have to get the fat stubby foundation brush and really buff it into your skinn (the foundation). If you don't you'll end up with really shiny spots. The powder can just be dusted on like regular powder. I LOVE the foundation mostly because you use it and then take the concealer brush and go over those little "spots" again.

It's expensive, though.... but I'd buy it again!

Happy Birthday!

Im 36 yrs old and I absolutely LOVE the way bare minerals goes on my skin. The older I've become the trickier it's been to find foundation that goes on evenly and smoothly and doesn't cake or 'melt' by the end of the day. Bare minerals goes on great and I love the natural look. NO melting or uneven patches.

I'm 17 and i use it pretty much everyday. I also get the occasional pimple, and you can't really cover it up very well, but the rest of the time it works great. It doesnt look like you've caked on a lot of coverup or powder, so i highly recommend it. Some of my other friends have it and all like it too.

i've been using bare minerals by bare escentuals for 5 years now. it is the best make-up i've found in over 25 years, i absolutely love it ! it looks natural, so it would be perfect for your age, or any age really. it is completely natural & good for your skin, it has a natural spf15. i recommend the "original" starter kit at ulta (60.00), costs the same as the other one, but includes "glee", which is a real pretty blush. go to the ulta store to pick out your shade, or order at www.ulta.com ( on orders over 50.00 the s&h is free ). good luck & happy birthday !

Bare Minerals is great! At your age you really don't need it, but I'm not going to preach to you. I have a 14 yr old who also wears tons of make up, it looks very nice on her, she doesn't look sleazy or anything, but her natural skin is so beautiful I wish she could see it herself. Anyway, Bare Minerals goes on so lite, but it covers & blends beautifly on any skin type. It's not heavy, it doesn't run & streak when you sweat. It looks natural & feels very good. I would recomend it to anyone, it does cost alittle more but it's worth it. Good Luck & have fun in H.S.!!!!

yeah it cool, it works better on aged skin thou, and a little difficult to get down the sequense. Since your so young and have no allergic reations i would go with a cream. Its ideal for even skin. stay away from liquids, that realy clogs you up
