Yes, it happens quite often. I often feel this innate need to search for something, for a purpose even though I don't know what it might lead me to. It's almost like there's a string inside of me, pulling me towards random directions that I'm not familiar with.

I often walk into a room, forgetting why I entered in the first place. I go out and enter it again, looking around and just lingering even if I know I don't remember anything.

Metaphorically, when you search for something but you don't know exactly what, there's usually an instinct inside of you that guides you through the whole process. Even if it might seem like the need for searching is silly or foolish since it can't find its purpose, there's a deeper voice inside of us that speaks on a subconscious level.

Nope. That would be irrational.

I would only look for my keys if I knew they were missing. If I didn't know what my keys looked like, then finding them would be virtually impossible.

The more productive approach for me, is consider the feel of loss and what might be perceived as missing from one's life.

Many people report feeling lost, empty, or that something in life is missing. Understanding what anyone considers to be missing is far more easily addressed.

Good luck in your search.

Yes, I do. I do so because as I look I may remember what I am looking for. If I see what I was searching for maybe I'll remember that that was the object of my search.
It's normal behavior.
...I hope.
