I'm extremely versatile. I listen to pop, rap, hip hop, country, rock, some oldies, ect. And not necessarily in that order. I'm asking the question to see what is the most popular type of music. One of my favorite singers right now is a pop singer. And she is awesome!

Also tell me some of your favorite songs out right now. I like One in a Million, Make Some Noise, Lost in this Moment, Happy Birthday, We Takin Over, and Sorry, Blame It On Me. And does anyone like the songs Ive listed?

Im going to be a singer. Ill probably be singing pop cause its easiest for me. How many of you like pop? Thanks for answering!!! You guys are awesome!

I love all kinds of music too. And have you heard music from the genre, Alternative? It's good too. And yes I like pop too. Pop is good at times when you need it.

I like a lot of songs, but here are some that I'm mentioning. From This Moment On, Mocking Bird(Eminem), You Dropped a Bomb On Me, Nottinghill OST, Man of Constant Sorrow, Here I am, Behind Blue Eyes, Make Some Noise, Jiggy With it, Dont Look Back In Anger, Crazy(aerosmith), Jump(van halen), Numb, Hollywood Swinging, Boiler, Sometimes you cant make it on your own, waiting for tonight, purple hills, What it feels like for a girl, Fix you, Man on the edge, Backstreet back alright, Forever and For Always and many many more.

All the best in becoming a singer.

A career in music is a noble pursuit, but beware of the pop machine. It will consume you until there's nothing left and then spit you out.
As for what kind of music I like, well, I mostly listen to what is called progressive or prog-rock. Bands with actual musicians who play their instruments (and masterfully well, at that), and compose their own songs.
My favorite band is called Yes. Among the others are Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Rush, King Crimson, Genesis, and Pink Floyd.
I don't listen to mainstream commercial radio. The music industry has become a collection of uninspired, pre-fabricated, sales tags that are just out to get your money and give nothing in return. There's no emotional commitment, depth or dimension to it, so there's nothing in it for me. I need to be touched deep inside by a piece of music before I can give it my full attention or respect.

My top favorite genre is alternative rock, but it trickles down to other favorites like electronic, experimental, etc. My favorite song at the moment is "Do It Again" by the Chemical Brothers. I'll give almost any genre a chance, though. I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to music.

I like all music genres except country. Some of it is OK but I think I have suffered permanent damage from the Achy breaky song.
