like one part of the pic is in color and the rest is black and white

can you do this without paintshop? possibly online?

well you have to have photo bucket. Heres a download and you can try help.

First change the WHOLE photo to 'black and white' ... then 'mask it' with the color photo so you can see BOTH ... then you can either 'take away' each individual color, or 'outline' the one color you want to keep ... when it's perfect, save the 'whole image as you want it to look' and then call it up again to be sure everything is done correctly ... it takes practice ... especially if you want to use the 'outline' method (easier when you are accustomed to it, though) .. but it will take only four or five pictures and you'll feel 'professionally skilled' in that kind of art.

Select the areas you want to be greyed out, feather it slightly to keep it smooth and desaturate it. The end.
