i have tried all of them and the first method i tried was the patch.... and yes i started loosing hair i got a big bald patch on the back of my head, the thing made me paranoid in case it ever fell off when it wasnt supposed to and it hurt like a ***** taking it off.
the shot... that made me so tired, i couldnt excersize and it made me so hungry, and when i findally got my period four or five months later or even three...it hurt sooooo bad
the pill, the i started off with orthro tricyclin, that gave me headaches, then i went over the seasonelle, i got dark splotches all over my skin with that too, it lets you have your period everything three months. it was great until i started spotting every week and my body wasnt recognzing the birth control, still controlled pregnancy but made me spot...it sucked
now i have merina.... its a iud type thing... hurt like a ***** getting it put in there but it works for 5 years and releases a very low dose of pregesterone. it works in three ways not one. look em up, my insurance covered it so it was not cost to me. i love it and i get my period every 2 months regularly now...apparantly it will make it stop completly too. and you can take the thing out and get pregnant the next time you ovulate, so nothing to worry about, no bad side effects either!!

The patch can end you up in hospital, hurt your health and may even cause you not to be able to have babies. The shot can cause the same thing but you can also end up with a severe allergic reaction. The pill isn't that bad. Go to a gynecologist and ask him or her if you can start taking birth control. You might have to get some blood tests done first though just to see if it is safe for you to take. When they prescribe you one it is based on your health status and stuff like that.

Every birth control has side effects, but just because they do, doesnt mean that you'll have those symptoms. Alot of women complain about weight gain, yet they dont exercise or eat healthy, which is a pretty good way to prevent weight gain. Duh. Go to your doctor and they can talk about which method is best for you. Your doctor looks at your medical history and family history that way you wont get put on something that runs in the family. i.e Depo reduces bone mass, therefore if osteoporsis (spell?)runs in the family, the shot might not be best for you. Its up to you and your doctor and if you dont like the one you get on, switch.

The shot and the patch have far more complications than the pill.
