Two years ago, I bought a Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital for my computer. Now, I am building a computer using a Abit NF7-S2G motherboard with 6.1 channel audio built in. I plan to keep the sound card for the gameport. Obviously, you would think, OK, your point? Well, I am using two drives. Both have Analog CD Audio connectors (4-pin). The Sound Blaster has three connections for Analog CD Audio, despite being only a 4.1, while the motherboard is a 6.1 and only has one connector. So basically, I want the 6.1, but with at least 2 analog CD audio connectors. My question is, is it possible to use the three connectors on the sound card, and thru the PCI port route it to the motherboard? Or is it possible to alternate between the motherboard and sound card for audio? How about both?
