It would have no bearing... a person is not responsible for the crimes of another...family or otherwise.

It's YOUR boyfriend who's in prison. Your sister hasn't committed any crime and there is no family relationship to the boyfriend. This won't have any affect on her wanting or allowing her to become a barrister or solicitor.

No this won't affect her chances of becoming a solicitor or barrister. Even if your immediate family had been convicted i can't see that this would make a difference, it is really about individual integrity.

If your sister wants to become a lawyer than only her own criminal history will have a bearing. It is a private profession unlike say the police or social services where family ties may come into conflict.

No.
Just make sure she takes up Criminal Law.
With your boyfriend there are obviously going to be times when you will need help from some one in that line in the future.

If your sister has the academic background and no criminal record of her own, there should be no problem.

no its only her immediate family that show up on an enhanced disclosure, however if she went out with someone who was known to the police e.g.drug dealer etc then that could come up on a disclosure
