John Bonham is the greatest drummer rock and roll will ever have! I like Neil Peart, but Bonzo was far more talented of a drummer. He was the power of Led Zeppelin's music. I heard Robert Plant talking about Bonham once and he said "Bonzo was a powerful drummer, but I was always amazed at all the little things he could do on the drums." Jimmy Page once said "The power of a rock band lies within the drummer." I like Rush and Neil Peart a lot and there music is powerful, but not quite as powerful as Led Zeppelin's music in my humble opinion. As for current or active drummers I would say Neil Peart is the best right now, but not overall. R.I.P. John Bonham.

Bonham had more 'groove' and was heavier. He pushed and propelled the music like few other drummers could. Peart is "fancier" and maybe even more melodic in his playing. They were (are in Peart's case) both great drummers, but completely different in style and playing in completely different bands. Personally, I guess like Bonzo better.
Don't forget about Keith Moon, Alan White, Bill Bruford, Carl Palmer, Cozy Powell, Ian Paice, and some other greats as well.

Neil Peart is staggering, yet i actually think of John Bonham is larger. Time is a vast section in how stable you're, even even though it is likewise the keenness and skill you very own that fairly makes it stable. not asserting Neil would not have hobby or expertise, yet John has greater (for my section).

Well, Peart has some really good drum fills, and it's a well known fact that Bonham used tree trunks for drumsticks. I like them both, but I'll say Bonham.

john bonham was a better drummer by far, but the BEST drummer in my opinion was eric carr (of KISS fame)
