My friend wants to use my wireless network. My ? is ,if i give him the web key will he be able to get in to my wireless network, to change settings on my router? I don't no if i should give him the encryption web key.

once given to him he can access your network. If you give him the user name and password for the router (usually not the same as then WPA preshare key) he can get into the router.

Careful! If he abuses the Internet use it is your responsibility as it is your name attached to the account NOT his. Many friendships have gone up in smoke over things like this. Also if he hogs bandwidth or gives the password to others, you will be sitting on the sideline wondering what hit you.

How good a friend? How skilled technically is she? And, more to the point, how good technically are you?

Giving access to your wireless router potentially gives access to all the machines on the network. It can be prevented but are you up to doing it for someone who might only be an acquaitance?
