Americans cannot agree over something as simple as preventing the slaughter of tens of thousands of people by engaging in a senseless war. What makes you think they are capable of electing any suitable official of any particular gender?

The elections will be what they have always been. A popularity contest where public service records are ignored in favor of who has better hair and a nicer smile.

Until people can learn to examine the reason that people are elected in the first place, I doubt we are going to be able to claim any real victories in this nation.

However, do I think that we have a chance at having a female president in the next couple of years? It's honestly not a very good chance, but it may be a nice change from a profiteering warmonger for a while.

India has elected a woman in the past to be prime minister, Indira Gandhi. Most people here, on Yahoo! Answers may not remember her. I don't know if Americans will elect Mrs.Clinton, but I think the time is coming when a woman or a person from a minority group could be elected president. Hopefully, we will elect a good person.

Yes, some day. But not Ms. Clinton. Maybe Condi Rice. She would make a good President.
