Add 5ml of 6M HCl to test tubes. Temperature of the test tubes are:
4 degrees C
20 degrees C
50 degrees C
Add zinc ribbon, which is 0.5g. How do you calculate the rate of reaction as moles of Zn per minute? Previous trials revealed these reaction times:
4 degree C test tube @ 920 seconds
20 degree C test tube @ 290 seconds
50 degree C test tube @ 60 seconds

I need 3 calculations, one for each.... Thanks!

Take 0.5 g and divide by the atomic weight of zinc. That's your number of moles (we'll call that "n").

Take your 920 seconds and divide by 60. That's your number of minutes. We'll call that "t".

Divide n by t. That's moles per minute.

I suspect, though you haven't said, that you timed how long it took for the zinc to dissolve.
1. Convert all the times to minutes by dividing by 60. Be careful, you now have "decimal minutes", but keep them.
2. Divide the mass of Zn (0.5g) by the time taken to dissolve. This is the rate of the reaction in g/min.
3. Divide by 65, and you now have mol/min.
