Its shuts down after hours it keep doing this if i want to start the computer it takes me 5 mins and i need this cause if im typing long papers/ essays I don't want to lose information that would be terrible thanks 4 ur help!!

it sounds like its getting to hot, try a laptop cooler that goes under the laptop. and save you files frequently

I think your computer has been hacked by virus or trojans, Here is a solution whether you will solve your problems.
Download AVG Antivirus 7.5 and install it. Download Stinger V3.4.9 and save it into desktop. Then restart your pc in Safemode. While your PC restarts then fress F8 to bring a black and white screen. Then choose start window in safe mode. It will take couples minute do not rush in to it. Once it is fulley boot up then Start AVG scanner and mean time you can double click on stinger v3.4.9 and start scan. Both will clean all virues, trojens. Once it is done then restart your PC without intrupting. Have a look whether you are lucky enough and me as well.

You need to save every 10 minutes as a rule.
If your laptop is plugged in, and it is not a battery issue, then it most likely is heat related.
I really need more info on brand, model, age, etc. to provide more info.

it might be over heating, you might have spywayre from websites like myspace and others like that. if ur downloading music, u might have a virus.
1. over heating; place it on a tray or table. not ur bed.
2. spyware; use adware 6.0 from lavasoft and also look for spybot search and destroy.
3. virus. get rid over norton,mcafee, and use AVG or f-prot antivirus programs.

As others said, it may be heat related. But try checking your power settings (Control Panel>>Power Options, then change the power scheme.)

maybe its just weak....try not useing it for a few hours then try it....or it could just be the brand....my other computer is very slow, but the computer that im on now is a dell....sooo.....im glad to help...ttyl!
