I moved to san diego 4 yrs ago from Wisconsin-- i did a ton of fishing there--

i have not fished in a fresh water lake since i got here
so i do not have a pole,bait,tackle,license,boat

were is the best place to go on a saturday afternoon and fish from the shore or pier renting everything do not want to rent a boat though

You can fish from shore at Lake Murray in La Mesa. Lake Murray is really nice and fun and big fish. Right off of Hwy 8, near SDSU. For salt water, fish off the Ocean Beach Pier or surf fish on north county beaches.
