We keep them as pets and let them run around the kitchen. The reason for keeping them is because if you have pet rats the wild ones will keep away which can only be good for public health. Why? WHY??? Because you keep RATS in your restaurant!!!! No matter if they're your pets or breeded by the queen of England herself, no one, and I repeat, NO ONE wants to eat at a place where RATS live. It can only be unhygienic! Get rid of the rats and just find a way to stay rid of them! I wouldn't really advise this, but if you have to, get a cat, but even that is unhygienic. Just have an animal free kitchen and you'll be fine.

Oh, this is a common problem. All you need to do is put two hungry cats on a leash in the dining room. That will keep the rats in the kitchen where they belong.

of course people are not going to like that i seriously would advise not keeping ANY thing like that in your kitchen as although its a good idea you have its not nice to see them when you are eating because people WILL think you are unclean and will stop eating there thus put ting you out of business
so just get some rat Poisson and put it near all holes and places rats are most likely to go
you can also get these rat catcher hut things its a small box you put meat in then when the rats go too get the meat they cant get out of the box as they get trapped
it would be worth while just doing this as its not worth the risk of people seeing your pets and thinking you are nasty because you are infested with wiled rats

A restraint near me had a dog walking around it's kitchen and was closed down for a while until the owners cleaned the place up..

If you have a no shoes, no shirt policy and the rats are in fact not dressed they will surely respect that and stay in the kitchen area.

I hope that your joking. But if case your not, your restaurant needs to be reported to the local health deptartment and shut down. That is gross and disgusting. Your going to end up getting sued because someone gets sick from eating at your restaurant.
