I only weigh 97lbs and I'm 17y/o at 5*7, would most doctors consider me underweight? I would also like to gain about 10lbs if anyone knows a healthly quick way. Can me being a vegitarian affect that? Whats a healthy way for me to gain weight?

That would definitely be considered underweight. But IF you are eating healthy, getting all your vitamins, and drinking water, then it might not be a big problem. Just make sure you're healthy.

If you are not eating healthy, you really need to start. You don't want to be underweight AND malnourished. If you don't take a multivitamin, I would recommend starting. Very few people get all the vitamins they need if they do not take vitamins. And make sure you're getting enough protein. If you're a vegetarian, you need beans and other sources of protein in your diet.

Oh honey you need to go to the doctor! That is a dangerous weight for being as tall as you are! The doctor can help you with that and put you on a diet that will help you. You need to gain MORE than 10 pounds! My daughter is 5'7" and weighs 135. She is still thin. Good luck to you and go see a doctor asap.

damn you're underweight. You should be at least 118 lbs. You need to gain another 21 lbs. Talk to a docter he can help you out here. Yeah maybe being a vegetarian affects that. Ask a docter.

Most vegetarians i've seen are very skinny. Exercising might build some muscle and might make you gain weight, as long as you dont exercise too much. I dont know if you'd eat peanut butter sandwiches or not, but if you eat them for lunch everyday, that will help you gain alot of weight.

You are underweight. You should be anywhere from 123-163lbs., depending on your body type.
