I can almost tell you the date. We just came back from 'Nam, I was in a bar with my wife, we were having a drink with my cousin, he was in the special forces, just came back, a friend that was missing for months, he was lost in Cambodia, where we weren't, if you heard Nixon's speech to the Nation.
A guy called my cousin a baby killer and us a bunch of names. He tossed a pitcher full of beer at my cousin, I grabbed the guy, and pushed him completely through two doors and out in the parking lot, smashed him against a car and choked him while I beat him, I didn't remember it after.
The cops, both former Marines that just got back, arrested the guy for stating trouble and, let us go.
I promised my wife that I would never drink again. I haven't in about forty years and, haven't been in trouble.

I was 27 years old. My poor little boy scuffed the toes off the $ "expensive special shoes" he just put on, by dragging the toes along the sidewalk, while being given a ride in a coaster-wagon. I, literally, lost it. My older daughter stopped me from slapping my boy silly.
That was 30 years ago.
I have never gone there again.
I am sorry I was out of control, mainly because I feared what my husband would do to me.
FEAR makes you crazy. LOVE is the opposite.
Know yourself to control yourself. Keep trying to improve.
We all fall far short. We must continue to try to be better.

It's been a while. I'm very easy-going and philosophical about things, but on those rare occasions I do lose my temper, be somewhere else!

thr last time i lost my temper......... probably when these really annoying girl kept on poking me because when people poke me, i twitch in this weird way, and they were poking me to amuse themselves, and i told them to stop, but she didnt, so i shoved her and she fell on her butt.
