Smoke only occurs if you used SeaFoam through the brake booster hose or through the PCV valve. If you only did it via the gas tank then you won't see the smoke. Did you follow the instructions on the can?

You will not "sea" any smoke at all. It burns clean while cleaning fuel injector nozzles intake manifolds valves and combustion chambers if added to your gas tank.

There is a relatively new product that's a step ahead of Sea Foam. The next time you need to do this try some 3-M Complete Fuel System Cleaner Part # 08813. It's a dollar or two more expensive but it really cleans things up. NAPA and Car Quest has this product. You won't "see" any white smoke from this product also.
