It totally drives me nuts when people misspell words, chose the wrong tense for verbs, etc. Where are all of the educated people on YA?

I'm well aware that my screen name is spelled wrong -- A Girly Girl was already taken.

BTW -- thanks for spelling HYPOCRITE correctly.

Yes, there is no excuse for the spelling mistakes if we would all take advantage of the spell check provided at the upper right hand corner of the answer window.

Here is one of the educated but I have other habits that would drive a person crazy besides using incorrect grammar.
Am compelled to leave the dust settle upon everything it touches and when the spiders are out and about, the webs they make, covered in dust- make no mistake, is left there for a purpose.

No one gets through high school anymore in 3 years. It takes them much longer because they can't spell, read or add and subtract. A lot just drop out as there are no jobs anyway and just live with mom who gets child support from dad. In the meantime, don't get married and have kids unless this illiteracy turns you on.

undesirable grammar. Misspelled words are extremely familiar and on the cyber web it incredibly is on occasion no longer elementary to parent an incredibly spelling errors from a typographical one. damaging grammar is embarrassingly obtrusive and an all-too-effortless sight in YA. it incredibly is incredibly no longer that complicated to advance upon if absolutely everyone seems to be in simple terms keen to put in the attempt.

The ability to spell correctly is not an accurate measure of a person's intelligence.

i hate misspelled words and improper grammar only on school reports. those drive me nuts but if its just for fun like on Yahoo and on AIM and stuff i don't really care.

I'm not that obsess with being perfect or anything, but yeah people on here do that a lot and some of their sentences doesn't even make sense. There's a "check spelling" on here, but I guess they don't use it...

Years ago you couldn't get a job if you misspelled words! Now it doesn't seem to matter! It's sad!
