- "Imagine" by John Lennon: I hold this song close to my heart. I adore every line, every note, every meaning in this song. This song gives me hope for peace and a better future. John Lennon had a vision, he wanted everyone to love eachother. And it's just horrible that he couldn't carry on what he felt was needed in this world. BEST LINE: "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. And I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one."

- "Where Is The Love?" by Black Eyed Peas: After 9-11, the USA was in deep mourning and the BEP asked us a simple question, "where is the love?" It was something everyone was thinking inside. I thought it was great that they put out a song that was something always left unsaid. BEST LINE: "Whatever happened to the values or humanity? Whatever happened to the fairness and equality? Instead of spreading love, we're spreading animosity, lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity."

- "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen: There are no words to describe this song. It's too amazing. BEST LINE: THE WHOLE SONG!

- "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera: Because everyone is beautiful. God made us all unique, and unique means beautiful. I think everyone should feel that they are beautiful and it shouldn't matter what other people say.
BEST LINE: "I am beautiful, in every single way. Yes, words can't bring me down. So don't you bring me down today."

- "Candle In The Wind" by Elton John: First it was for Marilyn, then when he re-dedicated it to Princess Diana it just got better. This song shows that the best people; get the worst things. BEST LINE: "Your candle burned out, long before the legend ever did."

There are so many, but I think the best song written was Endless Love by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross. If you love someone with all your heart, the words to this song just mean so much.

Soppy I know, but thats how I feel!

"Mutter" by Rammstein

The song is actually in German but I will post the english lyrics and meaning.

The tears of old children crowd
I draw them on a white hair
throw in the air the wet chain
and wish that I'd had a mother

No sun that shines to me
No chest has cried milk
In my throat a pipe is placed
Have no navel in my stomach

Mother

I was not allowed to lick nipples
And no folds to hide
No one gave me a name
Sired in scurries and without sperm

The mother who has never born me
I have sworn tonight
I am going to give her a sickness
And then drown her in a river

Mother

In her lungs lives an Eel
On my forehead a mother mark
Delete it by knife´s kiss
Even if I must die
Even if I must bleed

Mother give me strength

The lyrics tell the story of a child not born from a womb but in an experiment, thus having no true father or mother. The song was confirmed by Till Lindemann and Richard Kruspe to be a reference to their unhappy childhood relationships with their own mothers. The decidedly depressing lyrics describe a character's plan to kill both the mother "who never gave birth to him" and himself, which he carries out. But ends instead with him still being alive and no better off than before; begging, possibly praying, for strength.

god thats a very hard question. For me it has to be a song by The Jam, but im torn between about 20 of them.

My favourite is probably 'Down in the Tube Station at Midnight', but im not sure its the 'best'.

im gonna say 'When You're Young' just sums up life in general, especailly with the lines
'But you find out life isn't like that
It's so hard to comprehend
Why you set up your dreams to have them smashed in the end'
and
'Life is a drink and you get drunk when you're young'

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by deep purple. It's a 17 minute song with a hell of a drum solo.
