As long as you are in the water, the blood flow will stop. Just make sure you're not sitting out by the pool for a long time in between swimming if you're not wearing a pad.

By the way, I was wearing tampons when I was 10, I don't think there is really an age limit.

If you are going swimming you HAVE to wear a tampon. Water doesn't stop a period and you will end up with a pool of red floating after you. Yuck. Why are you too young for tampons? A woman is physically able to use tampons the minute she gets her first period. The general rule is : no tampon=no pool.

Sorry. The only way you can go swimming is to wear a tampon. Who said you are too young to wear a tampon? If it is your parent's decision, then there is nothing you can do. But if it is your decision, I recommend you try it. That way you will be able to do the things you want to do. Lots of girls use tampons from their first period!

Yes they probably would notice and I am sure you are not too young for a tampon maybe you should speak with a physician or an older female you confide in and try something new and way more comfortable than what you tried. Never mind possibly escaping a potential bad embarrassing moment.

You really should wear a tampon if you're going to swim. Otherwise I suggest staying out of the water.

I wouldn't risk it. Just try not get pushed in, or just dip you feet in. If you are just dying to swim, wear a black bathing suit. Whatever you do, do not war a white bathing suit! If you bleed the chlorine turns purple and everyone will know! Since you 11 just tell you mom that you are getting your period, your mom has been through the same thing. Just talk to her, she will understand.

If you're old enough to have your period, you're old enough to use tampons. I would NOT go into the pool without having one in place.

yes..Girls should understand they can do everything they normally would do — as long as they're comfortable.

For example, girls who swim may prefer to wear a tampon so they can continue to practice while menstruating.

in your case.. dont worry, no one will notice.. your period will seem to stop while swimming..
