how do i trade pokemon worldwide?

i know this question may be stupid but i want to know how do i trade with people around the world?????
please help me, thanxs alot.

You need a wireless router to connect to the internet using your DS. Then once done, fix the settings in your DS so you can connect to the router. Then beat the first gym leader and you will get access to the Global Trade System (GTS) and the basement room.
