Rock is by far the better genre. Both styles have gone to sh*t over the past 10 years, but Rock never became as digusting as Rap is now.
Also Rock is coming up again because Rock supports it's underground and the artists play because they love the music so they are much more DYI than today's rappers , who's only goal is to be rich , famous , and f*ck hot chicks.
In 5-10 years, I think Rock will be on top again due to indie bands going around the record companies and promoting themselves and the better music they put out, and Conscious rap will be helping rap recover from the damage being done today.

Um I think rock is better just because the songs tend not to be so base, and to create it requires more talent than just going into the studio and getting on a computer to make some lame beat.

i've been a rocker all through high school (i still am kinda, but i don't wear the black t-shirts and spikes and all)...and i choose rock because "girls, sex and drugs" are more "poetically" portrayed by rock...i mean i'd rather see a groupie drool over someone like Axl Rose than see a whore dance in a 50 cent video...that latter is quite disgusting... besides, in rock they actually sing...they randomly scream, but they don't tell poems or make rhymes...
and moreover, a rock band doesn't need a big boobie and butt chick with a weird voice in order to make a song likable or to make a chorus...uuuuu, and guitars are more appropriate to rock...i mean they practically invent it (all hail Jimi Hendrix - he was rocker, not rapper)

rock all the way..i mean i listen to rap but if u like listen all they do is take old songs and add a new beat to it...thats what i think...rock is way better tho
