LIKE I don't know, LIKE I never say it, LIKE I know that white people never say anything LIKE that. I have found that people tend to talk like the people around them. It has nothing to do with race. You end up imitating the people around you.

I think thats your problem. For something like the words "ok" or "alright" to make you "FEAL uncofortable"... thats stupid.
PS... spell check is your friend.

If "OK" is being said in the manner that Li'l Jon does it could quite possibly make you feel unmcomfortable. But everyone regardless of ethnicity says "alright." Relax take a load off and watch some Chappelle Show. Yeeeaaah! What?? OOkayyy! Skeet skeet skeet!

Just say ok and alright right back at them! Why do you feel uncomfortable anyway? Are you weird?

It is not just black people who say O.K. and alright a lot - a lot of people say that - it is very common. Us Canadians say 'Eh' a lot! It is nothing to feel uncomfortable about.

It is the way their language evolved; not get excited, you probably say similar things that put others off.
One example is "Man". I used to wonder why people would say, Hey, Man! and all that. Then I learned that is a Scottish mannerism. Another is Yo! Wow, that used to irk me; of course, it came from the Mexicans, Yo! being "I", used as "I'm here".
Just accept it...
