Where exactly is the nameplate? Is it on the cast iron plate, (the harp) or is it attached to the inner rim's wood?

If the plate, no, it's most likely cast iron as well.

1st Schmoller and Mueller was made in 1918, last was made in 1929. Doesn't sound like a successful run. I hope you are not considering refinishing or rebuilding this instrument. It is simply not worth it. You will recover no where near what you put into it if you ever try to sell it.

Basically, God gave Laban 2 other chances. One, he could have given the plates that he didn't care about to his relatives (Lehi was a cousin), second, he could have sold the plates for much more than he could have imagined they were worth (Lehi was a very rich man and Lehi sons were going to give Laban most if not all the riches that Lehi had left when they went into the wilderness.). Laban was arrogant, selfish, mean, cruel, and greedy. He tried to kill Nephi and his brothers. Lehi and family needed the plates so that they would have the scriptures to reference or the whole family would not be able to follow the Gospel or know the loving kindness of God and know that God protects His people. Laban refused to give the plates to Nephi, despite the knowledge that Lehi was a prophet of God and his cousin. God also knew that if Laban lived, he would sound the alarm and have Lehi and his family hunted and killed. The only way that Laban left for Lehi and his family to get the plates was to kill Laban so that no one would be the wiser. If you remember the story, Zoram went with them for the same reason. God is the master of Life and Death. God knows when people are going to die. He had David slay Goliath to protect the nation of Israel. No difference. Just a side note here, Nephi didn't want to do it until the Holy Ghost explained the reason to Him. Nephi Killed Laban...He didn't Murder Him. They are 2 different things. Laban had free will. He made bad choices...that got him Killed
