Jealousy is a human emotion, and not one that dogs feel. They will need establish position in the household and this may be perceived as jealousy, but that's something different. I've got 3 dogs and have fostered several in my home, so there were always dogs coming and going in the house. The best way to make things go smoothly is to first of all make sure that you and the other people in your home are higher in the pecking order than your poodle. Then when you add the other dog, make sure your poodle knows that he is above the new dog. Give him his food first, but supervise feeding. Don't let the two dogs push each other out of their bowls. I kennel my girls when I feed them, side by side. Mainly because I feed raw and don't want it all over the house, but also to avoid anyone being greedy. I'd also let your daughter be primary caregiver of the new dog. if the poodle is mainly your dog, if the new one bonds more strongly with your daughter, it will avoid any major competition for affection. Chances are that the two of them will enjoy each others company and bond well. good luck!

That looks like a Bull Mastiff.

It's only slightly larger than my German Shepherd, but has a much bigger, squarer head.
