I'd stick it out to not be selfish and deprive my family of any time that I had left to be with me, because it's going to be hard enough on them when I am gone.

until my quality of life became horrible, I would want to live it out. Once I was in terrible pain, or went into a vegetative state then I would want to through with the assisted suicide.

If I was in a vegetative state, I would want to die via assisted suicide; if I was terminally ill, I would ride it out as long as I could assisted with heavy medications until I die.

Would depend:
If the illness meant I was a bed ridden vegetable then I want out of here.
If like Jane Tomlinson http://janesappeal.com/?page_id=3 I would live life to the full and enjoy my last moments.
This woman is an inspiration to us all and should be awarded super hero status.

If I found out I was terminally ill, I would want to live it out so I can do everything I wanted to do before I died.

I was with you right up to the terrible pain and coma part. If I knew I had a terminal illness, I'd opt out when it got to the pain part.

Life is only one, and I would never commit suicide. If I knew I would die in a couple of months or years, i'd do everything I've always dreamt of, party every day :), live the life.

My friend just died of cancer, she was told she had anything up to six weeks left, she lasted just 10 days after that news. She suffered so much, but I really don't think she would have took the easy way out.
After she died I was distraught, I dreamt of her sitting in my bedroom by the window, and she looked beautiful, she said " It was so easy at the end I just closed my eyes and let them take me", that was it, from then on I have felt better knowing it was "easy" for her at the end.

Well, its a hard choice, and there is MUCH more involved than taking it down to 2 choices..live it out. Its God's choice to take you when He is ready. There might still be something he needs you to do, or someone that needs to learn something from you, or a life that you might inspire and touch before your last breath. You might even bring someone to salvation as they see your trust in the Lord, thus giving them inspiraion to stay the course. My friend of over 30 years died slowly from cancer, she could have taken her life with the meds she had posession of, but her kids needed her to stay as long as possible, and she taught me strength, presereverence, and how to stay strong no matter what the situation. I would want to be a role model to my Kids, to help them in the future days of my loss. This might help their grieving process, knowing I was not in pain anymore, would give them peace and relief. And my final lesson for them would be to never give up, stay the course, you never know when God will touch you and heal you if it's his will. What good would it be to show people that you are a quitter, hard as it would be to suffer? What kind of message would that leave your people ? It will also cause embarassment to the family, suicide in no matter what form causes shame, humliliation and embarassment. Just what satan would like to happen to you when your gone, and while your loved ones remain. He waits, stalks, paces the floor, and jumps right in there right at our worst time of sufffering, and initiates the final blow (all the while laughing at you because HE is causing the suffering, and you blame it on God)...he loves to "kick a man who's down" (he thinks you are stupid)...it's what he is good at. Beware of his trap, he will have you in the trick bag quicker than you can say "Jesus help me"...which is the better choice. Pray. It's because of him (satan) that we have to suffer and die in the first place ! Hence Jesus came down and suffered a grisly, cruel, bloody, disfiguring death for us, because had He not done this, when we did die, we simply would not exhist anymore. Can you imagine "nothingness" ?? With what Jesus did for us by suffering imense pain and humiliation by being hung on a tree and beaten to death in stages to keep the suffering longer, even though we die on earth when we are old, or diseased, or whatever the cause of death, when we do so, we come back to life again as our spiritual selves, but new and improved, in heaven ! How cool is that ?

only time can tell, what i will do if i m terminally itll
to bear the pain is very diffiecult so prefer to die.. but it is not good either , Lord wants me to suffer all the pain,
He gave me life to suffer,, so I have to suffer.
He gave me life to enjoy , so I enjoyed fully ..
Now He want me to suffer , Horribly or not .. I have to suffer..
But suicide is not the end of suffering, Life may end here in this form , Lord we punish me to and send back to clear my account.. so better finish in this life itself..
suicide NO.. .Suffer Yes
