ijsut bought a tranny off a 1991 laser to go on my 1993 eclipse because the tranny in the eclipse blew form the inside out, Its now sitting in my basement because i am waiting for my help to call me back .The guy gave me his clutch and flywheel, is it smart to put all that in the eclipse? i dont have the money for a new clutch, i just dont, so its keep the old one , or put this one on. I've put alot of money into my car , but im not going to have it much longer so i think its ok to replace the used with used , as long as it runs? any thoughts or suggestions?

I would have said to replace the clutch with a new one since you got it apart already, but if you are not planning to keep the car much longer I would simply look at both clutches condition and put the better one in there. If the old one was OK and had no weak torsion springs then thats the one I would put in.

If you can't afford new parts then by all means use the 50k clutch and the 100k transmission. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Look carefully at both clutch disks, pressure plates and flywheels (when you said flywheel you didn't mean pressure plate did you? Best to leave the original flywheel alone if it is not bad. When you change flywheels you need to align etc.)and pick the best set to go back in. They may run another 100k.
