Why do you hate the AKP? They've produced a stable economy despite sharing borders with very unstable countries. Inflation is under control, the currency is stable, unemployment is low, incomes are rising....

I'll be honest I want the current administration to win because I own Turkcell ADRs..... I bought at $15.87, it went up into the low $18s, and then it dropped back into the $16s when a large corporate shareholder announced it was selling part of its interest, representing 3% of the stock of Turkcell - - - that adds to float but it's not the same as issuing another 3% of the company - - - so I sold almost everything else I owned and bought more TKC - - - and it's back up to the low $18s!!!!

TKC is the largest cellular phone carrier in Turkey. It has 60% market share in a market that is only 60% penetrated - even though 93% of the population lives within Turkcell's coverage area. TKC has 3 times as much cash as debt, and its minutes, revenue and income per subscriber are consistently growing between 9% and 12% per year. The stock's PEG is about 1x. It also pays a 2.6% dividend - - - (it was 3% when I bought it) - - - and I think it will increase dividends to stay above 2.5% - - - there's a lot of growth potential but minimal investment needed to realize that growth.

Turkcell is the only Turkish ADR, trading on the NYSE under the ticker TKC.

I don,t know the different parties. But whichever party agrees with the military. When I lived in Turkey there was Dev Sol and Dev Genc. And the military had to clean up after both of them.
