we're both 18 and have dated for a little over a year now. i really really love him and i personally dont want him to go into the air force but its something he wants to do for our country. i'm just really nervous about the whole thing! any ideas on what i should do? should i support him or try to convince him not to go so we can pursue our relationship further?

Support him every step of the way and he's gonna make you proud and you can brag and show off your man in uniform.

Put the "shoe" on the "other foot" for a minute... -Let's say YOU really wanted to go into the Airforce, & that it'd been your dream since you were a little girl... -And your Boyfriend didn't "want you to to go..."- for whatever reason... Would YOU give up your "dream"- because HE couldn't "handle it" ??? If you REALLY love someone- you SUPPORT them, & their dreams are a "part" of who they "are". That's what maturity in a relationship- is all about. Good luck! :)

Much respect to your boyfriend for wanting to serve this country. Let him go, and be proud that you are dating a military man!!

You support him and put his need/wants higher than your own selfishness.
