Notice I didnt say women. Wom means "womb" and man means "hand". I have always been interested in why people put people into two genders, from blue and pink before theyre even born. We dont need to, we can treat people as equals, and let them grow and bloom and become themselves without setting social acceptance rules. Anyway I have been looking at embryo development&the embryo is female with nipples and at the 8th week the vaginal opening shrinks, the clitoris enlarges and enfolds over the shrinking opening and the ovaries drop into the lips, and thats it, what we call a male, its a form of female. There only is one sex - female.

I can understand why you would come to this conclusion but it isn't true. While all embryos do start out female, in fact, the embryo changes due to the male chromosome. Females do not have the male chromosome so in fact males are males and females are female. There are two different sexes.

Now, it is also true that studies have shown that there are not really that many true differences between the sexes. The area of major difference, and this is not a huge percentage, but like one or two percents higher for males verses female is in the area of math and the ability to see in 3-D in the mind and shift those images around in a 360 degree turn.

In all other areas both the male and female are nearly identical in abilities. It IS amazing, just different than your conclusion. But then, I can see why you would see it that way, you just stopped at an important point in your study of the subject.

This change is also why some babies are born with both female and male sexual organs, during the change sometimes it doesn't occur exactly as it should and the process is interrupted leaving traces of both sexual organs. I personally don't understand why it is difficult for parents to choose which sex the child should be. If the male process began to take place then the child was suppose to be male. For me it is as simple as that.

I think most of use know that we all start off as female and it is the sperm supplied by the father that decides if we are to stay female or become male. The sperm with the Y chromosome triggers the supply of testosterone at 6 weeks which turns the baby into a male. True we should all be treated as equals but that does not mean that there is not a lot of differences between males and females. One simple thing is that females do not have a prostate gland but they are better able to think with both sides or their brains which is why they are on the whole safer drivers. Men on the other hand tend to think with one half of their brains so see things more simply and directly and that is why they are better at parallel parking

Oh how I wish it were that simple... A world without men is a lesbian's dream!

Though men may start out looking like us in the womb sadly they have this chromasome defect which eventually turns them into another species and makes them behave rather strangely...

Mostly they seem fairly happy and mostly they don't cause any trouble so I guess the principle of live and let live applies... but I have yet to discover a real use for one.

Never mind. One day maybe we will find a cure for them! :D

Interesting how you can start with the facts and reach completely wrong conclusions.....

All embryos start off as female; it's the 'default configuration'. However at a certain point in the development, an embryo destined to become a male body produces testosterone which alters it's physiology; The Mullerian ducts atrophy, and the Wolffian ducts develop into male genitalia. If this testosterone rush doesn't occur (or if the embryo has AIS, but that's another subject) the Wolffian duct atrophies, and the Mullerian ducts develop into female genitalia. There are TWO sexes (and at least two genders); but both develop from the same basic form.

And your definition of 'woman' is wrong too; the word 'woman' comes from the Norse/Germanic 'wifmann' which translates literally as 'weave - person' ('mann' is not gender specific; it just means person, or human; 'wif' means to weave), literally 'a person who weaves' as opposed to 'aescmann' - which is 'ash-person', or 'person who carries the ash, or spear' (spearshafts were traditionally made from the wood of the ash tree). 'Wifmann' could be used to describe a male person, in certain circumstances, just as 'aescmann' could be used to describe female warriors too...

Very interesting, but does it matter. Men will still need women, and women need men, otherwise the human race will die out.

This is a factual comment and has no overtones which could be construed as homophobic. Rumours abound that men could become obsolete as women find a way to introduce male genetic material into a hitherto unfertilised egg. Simply select the male genetic stuff which would give rise to a female embryo and hey presto another girl - no more boys!

Early Anglo Saxon language is useful to understand this. The Romans brought in Male and Female much later.

Male was MAN
Female was man with a womb = womb man= WOMAN

I often wondered why men had nipples, I suppose it's kinda obvious now thinking about it. Have you seen the Alien movies? That's kinda the same thing - when the aliens are planted in different creatures and they are born with a few of that creatures characteristics. Ok, head in clouds! Ummm... yeh so after all men are the spawn of woman, so women must have come first (although usually men come first don't they? Lol.. bad joke, i'll shut up now) *zips up male lips*

Adam had both male and female attributes in him until God parted them out in the separate creation called Eve.

Any admixture from that time falls from the spiritual and not the physical realm; and the manifestation of the children of Cane.

It's more complicated than that. Yes, men start off female in the womb (that's why they still have nipples)... but there are differences (physically and mentally) between male and females.

Like a garbage truck, you just keep spewing it out. I feel absolutely, positively unenlightened. Men are female - ooh, wait - no I'm not. Back to the drawing board. And for me, bed.
