If you have to focus on an aspect of mythology, talk about the power of women. The power of the goddesses came from their sexuality or virginity. Vesta (Greek Hestia) was the goddess of the hearth, and the Vestals that maintained the fire in Rome had to be virgins. If they were caught with a man than they were killed. Diana, another virgin, sent a pack of wild dogs to kill a man because he accidentally saw her bathing. Aphrodite's power was all sexual, her powers were lust, not love, as many people think. Athena, another virgin, represents calm intellectual over passion. You could write more than 2-3 pages on it!
Another aspect you could focus on are creation stories. Many myths explained the creation of something, such as the creation of the world, the creation of the seasons (Persephone and Demeter), the creation of many flowers, trees, and bodies of water also have myths attached to them.
If you're not sure what you are supposed to do, I would suggest you go to your teacher and request a more thorough explanation of the assignment. Good luck!

While it may not be the MOST interesting mythos, you could always write (extremely easy, the information on this is so staggering you'll hit 2-3 pages without realizing it) about Romulus and Remus.
These two brothers were the founders of Rome (according to Roman myth). They were raised by wolves when found abandoned, as babies (the children of Mars, Roman god of war, might I add), on one of the seven hills of Rome. Romulus killed Remus over and argument as to where to locate Rome when it was founded. The list goes on and on.
Sort of...boring, but easy to get info on! Here's just a few links for you!

it depends on wat you like. if you like romance, i would suggest reading the myth about Aros and Psyche. if u enjoy battles and challenges, then a shorten version of Hercules or Herecles would be good to write about. as for a thesis, it usually needs to have 3 important parts to it. you have to go through the story and find things that would support ur thesis. for example (and don't pick this one because it's really lame), you could say that "Hercules is a strong, romantic, and enthusiastic character," and then you would have a paragraph with supporting details for each of those characteristics (in other words, you would have a paragraph about why/how he is strong, romantic, and enthusiastic). Also, you would probably need an opening paragraph (and the last of that sentence would be your thesis) and a closing paragraph (which would wrap up your point). good luck with ur report (or watever it is), and personally, i would go with Hercules :)
