many PEOPLE ON r&s SAID animals don't have souls... they don't live on :( They're just gone.. I can't imagine this.. I loved my pets so much.

What is there to live for? Well, for one things the continous worship of God, which afterall is that which the Bible tells us we will be doing in heaven, and happy to do so (Rev. 8).
But as to your question read Romans Chapter 8. Paul talks about the salvation of all creation, which might well mean animals also since they are part of creation.

I think it was Mark Twain who said something like it wouldn't be Heaven if his dog wasn't there to greet him.
Also, it is my understanding that the reason many ppl don't believe that animals have souls is that early in church history (about 400 AD) there was actually a *vote* about this & animals lost. This is human perception, not God's word.
Also, anyone who has ever known the love of an animal or seen the spark of awareness in a creature's eyes will understand that our companions are more than organic automatons. Is there is love, how can there be no soul?

I too was taught animals don't have souls. A soul is that cognitive power to think for ones self and not to rely totally on instinct.
Animals , I believe do have spirits, that ever lasting part of us all that is connected to God.
Thusly I believe there will be animals in Heaven and on the New Earth both.

Have you considered that the animals itself (the form you think of when you remember your pet) might not be there but the love and memory would be? Do you actually have to touch your cat (for example) to love it or know it loves you, or do you simply feel it? And understand? Isn't that what Heaven would be about?

Hey, that's what I said the other day and someone almost made me cry saying that I would never get to see my 16 year old cat that died a year ago again. I mean I would like to know where people think they know so much about what is in heaven anyway.

Why would God create animals and not let them into Heaven!?! I completely believe that there are animals in heaven. They have souls and they love you so much. They are wonderful and I know my Bailey and my Toto, and my Sugar, and my Princess are waiting for me. I'm gonna cry...

What makes ya think there will be no animals in heaven? I'm sure there will be. Pets of people that got there, and the animals that were always there.

There is mention of animals in heaven. Can't remember how it goes but something about the the lion will lie next to the lamb and so on...........
