please help me solve and check this problem using substitution method.?

y = 5x
2x + y = 28

2x + 5x = 28
7x = 28
x = 4

y = 5 x 4 = 20

Answer is x = 4 , y = 20

7x = 28
x = 4

y = 5 * 4
y = 20

check:
2x + y = 28
2(4) + 20 = 28
8 + 20 = 28
28 = 28

Substitute for y from (1) in (2):
2x + 5x = 28
7x = 28
x = 4
