That really depends on what country you'd be leaving. For many people immigrating to the USA improves their life, but for others it doesn't. It depends on how good your own country is really.

You have to know what you want out of your life? Do you want to start a family and raise kids? Are you well educated and fairly healthy? What kind of Life stile do you live?
Are you willing to participate in the daily rat race? The most important question is: How long do you want to stay? 1year,5 10 or your entire life?
My answer is yes.
Because I don`t want children and therefore I don`t care about the rotten education children receive. I also don`t have to worry about going to jail when I spank my son or daughter
for their bad behavior.
When you work hard the government takes only a reasonable
amount of taxes from your income. (to the Americans; I know what I`m talking about)
However, if something goes wrong don`t expect a security net
that catches your free fall into misery.
But that depends on where you coming from.
You can enjoy your life to the fullest and nobody puts a fence in front of your face.
Because I don`t know your age and other important facts it is basically your own decision to immigrate or not. Use common sense and think critical. It is not like buying a car and picked the wrong color.
Good luck

No. There are better countries to which to immigrate.

The cost of living is increasing rapidly. The "effective" wage is decreasing. The political climate is against new immigrants. Opportunities for motivated people are being taken away in favor of opportunities for large corporations. Racism and social division are on the rise.

Top this off with the fact that we are the prime #1 target for terrorism and I wonder why someone would choose the U.S. above other countries. I have to believe that it's because the other more favorable countries have more regulation against immigration.

It depends on where you are now, and how happy you are with your life, and if you have enough opportunities to do what you want.
USA is a big country, and many different people from different cultures live here. Everybody tries to do better than they did where they lived before. Some succeed, some don't. It's up to you.

It must be. Look at all the people trying to get into America (legally and illegally). People have died trying to get here...and still do. America has freedoms and opportunities that many in other countries could not even begin to imagine.
You can see some of the freedoms in some of the comments on here. If you were to bad mouth the leader, it's police force or armed forces in some countries, you'd be visited in the dead of night and never seen again. Try bad mouthing Castro in Cuba. They have people who actually walk around listening to other people's conversations, then have them arrested for their words!
I can drive from here to Oregon without having to have papers saying I can travel, without having border checks, and being held there for hours and days while they are 'verifying' my papers (happened to me several years ago in another country).
There are so many things we have in America that others countries refuse to allow their citizens to have, I could not begin to list them all.
We are truly a blessed country, even with all our problems.

Depends on where you are coming from. I was born, raised ,and bred in the southern USA. I got out and came to the holy land of Canada. I said it before and I will repeat it now. I have lived all over the USA and Canada so kicks the a$s out of the Usa in every single aspect of living.

Well, if the Dems stay in control it will be. They will hand you the key to the country and expect nothing in return.

No... please do not... stay and make your own country better for all there... any further immigration will only make it worse for all here already.
