Anyone from Zaandam?

Is it worth a visit?

I live near Zaandam, and while it has a nice center of town, I have never seen a reason to visit it, apart from a few people I know there.

There are other nice towns, which may be better: Alkmaar, Haarlem, Leiden, Gouda, Delft, Hoorn, Utrecht, Enkhuizen.
Or the really touristy Volendam and Marken.

Not really, it is a lovely little town, north of Amsterdam, there are many little towns just like it.
