just use clear fingernail polish an coat the inside with it or you can use scotch tape that works too

You can actually by a clear varnish type stuff specially made for that type of material.
It smells a bit but it really is good, they use it on cameras etc but any hardware store sells it sorry cant remember the name off hand but you coat it leave it to dry & give it a second coating & it does not chip or anything I will get the name later tonight when I find the bottle

Perhaps a layer of clear coat paint or a polyurethane coating. I think your best bet is to check with a jewelery store or similar vendor to see what types of processes they may have to protect the ring.

Joy O, I used vinegar to clean a copper exhaust pipe, maybe you could try a bit, it wont smell after a few minutes!!

nothing- that's telling you your body either sweats or need the copper element. Just remove and clean it gently with a cream copper cleaner.

you can try putting ether vasilline on it or take it in to a jeweler unless its a cheep ring for like 3 dollars.
