Your school may have an orientation for new students before school starts. If not, check and see if someone can give you a tour of the campus. This way you won't feel 'lost' the first day.
Also, get a copy of your class schedule ahead of time if possible and plan how your day will go.....when to make trips to your locker, when to plan on bathroom breaks and so forth.
And don't forget, there will be other 'newbies' there too and you just might bump into someone you can buddy with.
Keep your 'cool meter' on low the first few days......time enough to impress everybody when you feel more at home.
Good luck.

Its not as bad as you think it'll be. Most of the kids will be scared to because even though they know people or whatever its still a new school and you're all still the youngest. You'll make friends really fast too, especially in the beginning. Just blend in as much as possible (lol no neon binders or anything) and you'll be just fine.

Act like a civilized human being. People are people everywhere, all pretty much the same, there's really not much difference between kids at private schools (except they got more money) and kids at public schools.

number one rule: talk a lot.
people like other people who seem friendly, duh. and try your best to remember peoples name. once you call someone by their name, they will automatically feel closer to you.
number two: don't look at your feet when you're walking.
come on, have a little confidence in yourself. good posture my friend! and when you're walking through the halls first day of classes, don't glance at your program card every 4 seconds...
number three: answer many questions, opinionate yourself.
everyone likes a smart kid. it's very admirable and people will respect you for it (unless you live in a hick town..)
good luck, and don't think you're depressed just because someone tripped you... shitt happens, laugh at it.

Be nice to your teachers and classmates. Try to reach out to other kids although it might be a little scary. You know, that rejection fear! Take a chance with people and I think you'll find that people are very receptive to kindness. And, yes, definitely, relax, BE YOURSELF, and enjoy!
