it will fit i know some one who has done and it made a very fast car the mustang is a good working car at the track it hooks and the small block chevy is the king of performance when we did it we did not use the motor mounts on the sidi of the block we used a motor plate if you are good with meatel you can make it if not you can buy one from competion engineering for around 100 bucks belive it or not a th350 tranny will fit in the tunnel fine we had to trim a little of the floor out for the shifter and we had to move the crossmember back some the drive shaft is easy any body who can repair a drive shaft can build you one useing the tube that you already have it will be a good amount of work but its the only way to make a mustang fast take your time and dont give up you can make it work

It wouldn't be worth the expense, you'd have to re-do almost everything. I'm sure it's been done, people have been putting those small block Chevys in virtually everything with two or four wheels since the late 1950's and you can too if you have more money than brains. If you don't have any creative ideas and want someone to tell you where to start and how to do it from the beginning to end, maybe you should consider a different project...

Would be easier to dump in a 289 or a 351 but if you must
You will need to have the motor mounts made
You will need a Chevy transmission
You then will most likely need to have the driveshaft custom made. and will have a headache with the wiring.

350 is a Chevy engine. Try a 351. Since you don't seem to know the difference you may want to hire someone to do it.

First i gotta ask WHY!!!!????? Why not put a 302 and stroke it to a 347? Why a chevy in a FORD? That is border line blasphemy. It would be so much easier to put a 302 or even a 351 in there. But good luck anyways.

compelled induction on a inventory N/A single port 3.8L isn't a stable thought in any respect. you would be *lots* greater suitable off and funds forward to do a 302 replace. i'm not accessible of any direct greater healthful rapid kits for the CFI 3.8L so which you will would desire to fab up your guy or woman. The CFI and intensely constrained eu programing recommendations are going to be extensive hindrances in this, and it fairly is fairly not solid as there is not something objective-equipped accessible for this engine, and as i discussed previously you likely will never get the gas transport staggering with the CFI and primitive eu. this could wreck your economic enterprise account, discern on spending a minimum of two or thrice the cost of the automobile. value: everywhere from $2500 to do it at the cheap, $6000+ to do it staggering (solid internals, Multi-port EFI conversion, helping mods, and so on.) HP: inventory replace into what? one hundred twenty HP? With a modest quantity of improve, you will desire to be finding at around a hundred and eighty-one hundred ninety HP. in case you opt for solid internals and greater improve, the you would be waiting to squeeze 220-230 HP out of it. Reliability: From very detrimental, to below prevalent. there's a reason no one bothers enhancing the old CFI 3.8L. The 302 replace would be some distance greater low priced, and furnish greater capacity and have lots greater suitable reliability.
