How did royals live in the 1700's? what kind of rooms did they have in their palace? I tried looking on the web but couldn't find anything.

If you know any good sites about 1700's royal living please give them to me!

Thanks a lot! :)

I don't know about the "royals" but the average people lived poorly, got sick often, and died young by today's standards.

They spent most of their time trying to get enough to eat and not starve to death in the winter. We have too much free time, don't have a care about food which flourishes to the extent of making us overweight and we live to be twice their age.

But just like them, we have to pay taxes to support our governments.

There are some excellent novels that give good descriptions (If you don't want to explore actual history books). One of the better ones I've found was the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. In her first book, I believe it was, she visited Louix XIV and vivid descriptions of the palace and meals are included. Especially interesting, to me, is the description of a garderobe.
